performed wonderfully well... took over 1200 shots... and one batt lasted me about 2 days or so in the cold.. the temp was like -4 to 4 deg celcius.. so no prob for me watsoever of the batt dying.. and the lens were perfectly fine going from cold to warm and warm to cold.. no condensation =)

enjoy yourself there!! and look out for the canon offer!!

Heya!

Just bought my 450D + Kit (18-55) today! woo.

MSColour didn't put the screen protector for me, and I screwed it up, now need to replace it.

Can CP help to put it in for me if I buy it from them?

Yupp, they can help you do it, if you buy it from them. Well, it should be easy shouldn't it. How did you screw it up?

They pasted for me upon my request without second thoughts.

I just bought my 50mm f1.8 yesterday. Still not used to it, always find myself in a situation whereby it is too tight. Any tips?

you find yourself ina tight situation? what you mean? do you mean you can't auto focus the subject sometime?

the auto focus comes in when i try to take a picture too near. Coz too used to the kit lens min focusing distance of 0.25m compared to the 50mm's 0.45m

too tight as in the view through my viewfinder is too narrow, and i have to leg zoom. :) so now I have to learn how to estimate accurately. ;)

yes, once you use to zoom len, you have to adjust to the tactic of using prime, 50mm is quite fine, 85mm and above will be rather tedious, you need to move even backwards and focusing distance even more far.

xmas shoot anyone? :)

I think you also have to cater for the possible camera shake... due to the increase in focal length...
