Don't worry there are shops that open on 1st Jan.

okay i just called up Canon 5 minutes ago. The guy said that i dont need to produce a receipt if i wanna use my warranty. Once the online registration went thru fine, everything else will be covered in accordance. phew. im still trying to get a receipt from the seller though but he is not picking up hehe.

:bsmilie: Doubt that will pose any kind of problem. After all, there are shops are operates 365 days throughout the year. ;)

 At least the warranty is valid, so there shouldn't be much of an issue.

okay can cause im so unsure bout all this warranty process. i read thru the posts here discussing on unfilled warranty and 97% of the people said an unfilled warranty is useless save you have the receipt. That makes perfect sense though since I can fake the date of purchase and register. But then I wonder what happened to people who bought it from someone else, got it as a present or won it at a lucky draw.

tomorrow im gonna start shooting with the 450D . As of now, im still afraid to lay my hands on it ehhee

Most probably you won't even want to stop once you started shooting with it. :bsmilie:

:bsmilie: Shutter replacement should be cheap for 450D, so no worries about hitting its lifespan.

My 450D barely hits 3K shutter. :D

ahaha weird. my viewfinder is very blurrish. hmm maybe it is like that?

Adjust the diopter. There's a small dial near the viewfinder, adjust it and it should be alright. ;)

Mine is about 3.8k on a 2 month old baby. Haha. :)

ha ya the diopter. anywho, my lifespan is still uncertain since my seller has no receipt to prove its age. lol

look perfectly mint though. i hope without the receipt they can still service it just warranty card like they assured me just now.
im going down to canon service centre though to repair my S5 IS which I found out theres a Lens Error. Eew.

K i need to get a drybox and a 50mm 1.8 lens this weekend.
any shops recommendation? looking for cheapest deals. heheheh Btw whats the kit lens filter size?

Yes, it is 58mm.......the lens itself will indicate the size also..

Dear 450D users,

Do you experience on your camera that the LCD monitor will go blank when you pointed your lens down and on again when u pointed the lens UP?

Anyone have this problem with LCD monitor ??

Shouldn't have such a problem as long as there's nothing near the sensor below the viewfinder.
