wait if we put our camera inside a bag without the insets will it be damaging? cause i dont like my canon bag i wanna carry it on a normal haversack but i reckon when im moving about, it will be chaotic inside haha.

whee ordered the battery grip liao, anyone else ordering?

I alrdy got my BG last week.

It's better to protect your equipment. These are precision optics especially your lenses. I mean hwy spent so much and yet not taking care of them. Yeah. Not pointing out that you cannot but it's a form of protection. :)

Probably, just go get a cheap Lowepro bag if you do not like the design of the Canon Bag which I had already chuck it into my storeroom. :bsmilie:

ahaha good. k now im so crestfallen. i feel so detached from cameradom. do you guys always feel enthusiastic to shoot or are there times you just chuck your camera aside? any ideas what to shoot? with my first pns, whenever i am drained off ideas, i go back doing still life shots.

it just feels weird doing it with a dslr.

i think im gonna head down to changi tomorrow. I need a bag that can fit my S5 together with my 450D. i guess i'll buy one of lowerpro's haversack? but i hate haversacks. lol im being fickle.

i feel like flying back to Kuching

Get a shoulder bag instead if you dun like haversack. Take a look at Rezo or Stealth Reporter. The smaller models are about $100 or lesser.

I'm always ready to shoot and gets excited about using my DSLR. I take pride in every shot I take but at times, I do felt a bit dry about ideas and that's when I asked my shooting buddies to shoot together. They never fails to rejuvenate my photographic soul. ;)

Well, it's always good to have a good buddy to shoot alongside. I'm glad I found a buddy who always never fails to surprise me when we have the time to shoot together which is not very often.

It's good that you have a buddy that shares your intrest in photography and it does make things very interesting and can chat about new idea on the spot.

But I suppose it really depends on mood too...I very much prefer to be alone in when I go for nature shoots...it's so relaxing to just sit in one spot alone waiting for the right shot to come along :)

Yeah. Got to agree with you on that too. I at times like to be left alone with just myself, my baby cam and my subjects. :)

Crumpler million dollar home  (new design). Anyway i have no doubt that you're not the only one that feels like that sometimes. no worries. :)

you know what the army calls these buddies.?

Hey guys... new 450D owner here. I was previously using a 2nd hand 400D kit.

Bought this 450D and love all the new features, especially the larger LCD and better grip.

Together with the 450D, I got a 17-55mm f/2.8. Such a tremendous improvement in image quality.

FYI, I bought a Tamrac Aero Zoom 30 and it fits the body + lens like a perfect glove when you want as little baggage as possible.

Only odd thing is that most of the stores here have no stock for the 17-55mm lens hood. Prob gonna get the 3rd party one from Tago Tech - anyone knows if this is a good one?

congrats on the new gear. Frankly i seldom use my hoods, hehe. Just go with the 3rd party one works the same as the original anyway, you'll prolly save a couple of bucks as well.

i like shooting events. whenever i feel like shooting, i'll search the web for events to go to. one thing abt photography, it brings you to places where you normally wldn't go, and to see daily life differently. kind of broadens your perspective imo.

Just curious,
for the member in this club that use a grip on their 450D..
How many are using the phottix premiun series grip and how many is using the BG-E5?

thinking of getting a grip for my 450D.. but aint sure which direction to go... :'(
