i find that this lens zooms faster than the 18-55 or 20mm on my canon eos

U mean focus faster?

nv really use canon nowadays liao don know should buy or not.

Ya sorry for the typo. I meant that the 10-18mm seems to focus faster than the eos m lens

Well, the 10-18 uses STM. While not as fast as USM, it would definitely be faster than the previous 18-55 kit without any motor-drive.

i brought this on impulse. haha

You are a Canon fan macVince. Nice images with the 10-18 STM.

Ha Ha! I'm not a fan of any brand; whether cameras, phones or computers but a user. I use any product that meets my budget & needs with minimum fuzz and not troublesome with breakdowns or quality issues. I also use Lumix (& earlier, Nikon) compacts and iPhone to take photos, whichever is convenient and appropriate. I also stay in the (cheaper) APS-C zone and kit lenses to keep to budget.

Glad you find the photos nice. Thanks.

:-)

this of cos, this has more element/blades than 10-22
Having more elements or blades does not make a lens better than the other.

It's true that the 10-18 is on par with the 10-22 wide open and is sharper than the 10-22 when stopped down. But it's only marginal and I'll take USM and a metal mount over STM any day.

ymmv.

On a side note, how does the 10-18 hold up to flaring?

i know, haha if only i have the budget , i will go for 10-22 usm..as photography is my hobby and i dun earn from that so getting better eqs doent make sense to me

I am using 16-35 2.8 II. its one of the smaller FF L lens but really feel its weight and size when on holiday vacation.

I sugggest ppl who wants lightweight UWA go get this 10-18 on yr crop bodies

Very nicely taken bro Jeffer!
Just a newbie question here, why did the photos turn out differently at different mm in terms of color?
Thanks

Bro, it was a sunset scene. The sun was setting and therefore the change in colors.

May I know where to purchase this lens? Didn't know it was released in Singapore already.

The last I've heard, TK foto and SLRR bought it in already.

All the usual shops(Click!, MS Color, etc..) should have it also.
