Do you mean 30% of the first batch?
Go read the replies below...he explains that it was shipped plenty of times and estimates 3% as the failure rate.

Always best to avoid beta-testing.
They will launch the 24-70 f/2.8L IS. I think the next update, they will have it, maybe they want to monitor the popularity of the Tamron VC first, then produce a 24-70 f/2.8L IS that will totally outclass it, but I expect the SGD RRP to be the same level as 70-200 f/2.8L IS II - $3,999.
I dont think so they dont want the 24-70 to overshadow the 24-105 as it gives them a choice between IS and f/2.8
U mean $2850? Which shop has it in stock now at that price? Thanks![]()
I doubt it will overshadow. The 24-105 will always have it's attractiveness of the extra 35mm which makes it a very good range for a 1-lens solution for walk around and travel, plus it has the huge advantage in price and weight. Certainly not everyone can afford a 24-70, that's what 24-105 has to offer![]()

Any Club Snappers care to share?
I have shared some pics of the 5D3 + Tamron 24-70VC combo in the Tamron thread. However, the next time I get a chance will post new pics here.
