Canon EDS Mark II

Hello everyone, I am due to visit Singapore in Dec. and I found following website who claims to sell the above camera for $1700 http://www.kormez.com/index.php?sp=detail&id=1010&cid=9. They can be contacted at http://www.kormez.com/index.php?sp=contact

I would really appreciate if any of you could please investigate the authenticity of this seller as in UK we say "if its too good to believe, perhaps it is..."

There is something fishy on the company registration cert online look closely. Date of commencement of registration is 1996 while cert issued in 1992. Futhermore, i don't remember singapore's company registration certs to look like that during the time it was issued.

wow..the website is a total spoof~! the address of the company does not exist in singapore.
there is no 18 Tai Seng Drive! base on the postal code given from the website...it's suppose to be 19 Tai Seng Drive, there is no unit no. 18 along Tai Seng Drive.

Since you coming to Singapore, just buy from reputable store like Cathay or Alan Photo. Check the retail price first here, so you know the retail price and know what to bargain for.

1) Singapore company will not have Kormez, Inc. it will be Kormex Pte. Ltd. If it is a real singapore registered company.

2) Singapore company registration number will start with year, i.e. is registered in 1992, it will start with 1992XXXXX

3) The cert is issued by Department of Commerce. There is no Department of Commerce in Singapore

4) As idicated by other CSers, the years in the cert does not tie.


Conclusion : This is a bogus company!!!

I probably will try to call the number in their contact to see if it is a real number

ohh... that website. it is totally bogus. Checked it out before, and this is not the only bogus one around. Just check around Alibaba.com, there are plenty of them around. Just be careful. Anyway, the business registration records does not show anything, did independent checks on my end before...
