Sorry lah, typo. Didn't know NIKON has D40.
Btw, how is the 18-55IS & EFS 55-250IS KIT? My freind say kit lens are 'junk' compare to the old Canon LENS which I had for film type SLR.
Woah you said you were into film slr before? Then i guess you should know more or less of the pros and cons =) Other than the digital terms.
I personally think that the kits lens are quite alright, had takened keepers shot with it =)
I wouldnt use "junk" to describe them, maybe to more experienced users, the built and quality cannot outshine a high end "L" lens , but hey! Thats what you get for 190++ over thousands over lens! So i think its definately worth it on the basis of cost is to quality ratio , plus the quality is quite there too! My take is you should try out the kit lens first, the 55-250 quality is said to be similar to the kit lens' . My only take for the kit lens is that its kinda slow for low light and night photography . Since the learning curve for DSLR is quite fast, its good to start of with a above average kit and find out what you really need rather than getting all straight :bsmilie:
18-55 IS f /3.5-5.6 has quite alright IQ , is light and affordable!
Dont go with the BBB virus!
