Canon buy back program

Received a call from canon yesterday, they told me they have no stock for 500D, i need to wait for one more week. initially i was told to wait for 5 working days. ;(
 

I wish they'll buy back the awful 7D I have.

i went to csc last friday 4-dec, i tot i can get it before this weekend, now a bit dissapointed as i will bring my kids to sentosa this sat without a camera. ;(

i see, i think you should get early next week, or who knows you will recieve a sms from them this sat.

Be prepared you might get sms tomorrow, ask you to go down collect same day. :)
 

if we receive a sms, must we go down on that day, can we tell them we collect another day.
Can collect other day lah. Canon service centre is not like army camp leh, not immediate depolyment leh.

Bl**dy Canon QC is in the PITS. And so is CSC.

My camera spent more than a month at CSC and I had to make 5 visits there.

After all this while, the AF is still not fully functional. A number of AF points are either consistently unstable (the same points are inconsistent for ALL my lenses) or consistently front-focusing.

What kind of s**t technical work is this?

Canon owes me a working 7D. Yes, I've paid for a working camera and DEMAND that.

Either they give me a brand new 7D from the latest batch or exchange my awful 7D for lenses+camera of equivalent value.

I will have ditched them if I have the money.

If they cannot even get me a fully working 7D, how confident are we of their 1D4? I suggest everyone stay clear of Canon c**p until they have improved on their QC.

i remember i saw the notice at csc stating 11/12/2009 is their DND, so i think they will close early, hence very unlikely anyone of us will recieve calls from them to collect the set tomorrow.

i think you should feedback to them through email or what not channels
don't think the CEO way up there is aware of this

wahahaa............i think u guys give me luck, i received a sms abt 8pm tdy, was told that my equipment is ready for colloction. :bsmilie: really can't believe it.

congrates, get it in less than 1 week. if collect tomorrow try to go early as i think they close early for DND.

hopefully they will sms me soon, i went this Monday only, just 2 working day behind you.

hey doodah, did u DEMAND from them to get u new set if they can't solve your problem because one month is a very long time? those ppl there i heard need some pushing. 1 month is ridiculous. if can't solve, den 1 to 1 exchange for a brand new set. CSC reminds me of SAF. hahaha! =x

So far I only hear 2 people complain. I think you are just so lucky :) Tried a few 7Ds during the Canon Workshop they all give tag sharp images consistently....didn't have a chance to try AI-Servo though.

I doubt the CEO cares about 1 or 2 small fry complaining, while thousands are singing praises...:bsmilie:
