i am quite happy with hi-ISO of 450D till i saw D5000 and D90 :cry:

i not sure if u wanna compare with mp to mp? maybe 500D is as good at 12.1mp

It is called privilege purchase program. I called the Canon SC mainline 6799 8888 and they direct me to this department.

I ask about deal between PNS to DLSR, they say only the 2 models -- 450D and 500D are available.

You bring in your PNS cam(working or non working), they check and you indicate which model to take up. they order and you collect the new DSLR a week later.

Can pay by cash or CC.

Hope this clear some doubts. I am not related to Canon.

Just checked with them yesterday. EOS film for EOS dslr OK. but capped at 50D. Price was $15xx, sorry, couldn't remember exact number. Was so hoping that i could trade in my old 500N for 1D.... HAhaa...

thanks to this thread - i went down to CSC today to trade in my mom's old canon powershot, cannot remember the exact model but it is a 3.2megapixel camera using a 256mb compact flash memory card.

the deal for the ixus 95IS is $317 (RRP $399) and for the ixus 100IS is $374 (RRP $469). in the end decided to get the ixus 100IS. the standard package comes with a 8gb memory card and a carrying case.

I have at least 2 Canon PnS from the old days - S30, S50 and dunno what else. Can I combine all my PnS to get a better discount, or is it 1-for-1 trade-in?
