my experience is there is no need to proof anything... just bring a old cam (be it functional or not), tell them u want to buy a new model using the old cam to trade in... they will provide u a list of available camera for selection... u chose, go home wait for call or sms... done... they dnt care and dont ask questions one... i just did tat in jul this year...
is this promo an ongoing thing??
its not a promotion
it was never a promo. lol.
my bad... i mean program... was daydreaming
Well.. They still have this upgrade scheme ongoing.
oh thanks! thought of saving money to buy in the next few months...
Let me clarify. Based on my experience so far it is 21% off RRP, because asked the pricing of 6-7 models and compared the quotes to the RRP. Prcoedure is this - I give the PNS camera I am trading in to Canon, and choose the model i want from the list of available models (it can be a PNS model or a xxxD model). They will quote a price.
So if RRP for the model is say $100, the price quoted will be around $79.
I have never used a DSLR for the trade in, only PNs so far. Model is A70. Confirmed verbally with the staff at CSC that any Canon PNS model in any condiiton is acceptable.
A70 is way back in time where PNS is up to 3.1mp. Hope this helps.
Hi,
Anyone know if can i trade in a EOS88 SLR for any new EFS/EF lens for my 500D?![]()
I have an even older one - A60....2Mpix. The 1 inch LCD screen seems such a luxury then. Those were the days...
One friend of mine replaced his 28-70 F2.8L with a 24-70 F2.8L @ $400 plus. BTW, the 28-70 was beyond repair.
went to CSC to collect my lens (err01) and asked about the privilege programme and whether it applies to lenses... answer was NO. only camera bodies+lens and not lens alone
