Look at these, all taken with the supposedly soft 7D. All photos courtesy of their respective owners. My heart goes out to the "lemon 7D's". Have some faith.
Mine looked soft initially. However, after following the tips on how to use micro-adjustment, i set my 7D to -10 for all lenses and all subsequent photos came out sharp already.
Thanks for the tip !
Also updated my 7D's firmware to Ver 1.1.0 as mine was initially 1.0.7
-10 does not sound right. Its way too much correction. Are you sure the same -10 settings works for ALL your lenses? Maybe you wanna get CSC to recalibrate your body.

Here a quick picture taken today morning.
This picture is cropped and re-sized, default sharpness (3).
picture taken with 50mm f1.8 with following settings f3.2, 1/125, ISO 200, flash (no natural light in room).
Flash is a bit harsh.
Just to let you know i was using f/1.8 which give you very thin DOF.
If you want sharper picture for your subject as per your attachment you need to pump f up.
I have sharper images with Tamy 90mm but again Tamy cost me 800$ (that time) and 50mm only 120$. I have already sold Tamy so cannot give you a comparison. But frankly if you want others to really give you a constructive advise you should provide information about your picture and lens you used to take that picture.
Thanks for the latest pic... still looks sharp. My initial thought is that the pic would be soft if the focus setting is 19 points AF rather than Spot AF. Looks like I am mistaken :embrass:. Thanks once again for the posting the picture..
