Canon 7D arrival time

That's something new..... are you refering to the lens only or that includes the camera body ? If it's the body, does it only apply for HKG set only ? Or is it a standard practise (International Warranty) now ?

Going to Osaka this weekend.... don't know if they have International Warranty too.

HK is also canon international warranty.
u only lose out on local mailers and stuff...
lotsa ppl buy from HK fren including me..
have yet to use the international warranty though

eh? I thought warranty for bodies is LOCAL only? Only lenses that have international warranty, no? Even in Singapore when I purchase the 7D the body is only under local Singapore warranty

Heard that this week's batch of 7Ds (suppose to be out tom) delayed till next week. Canon is going to upgrade the firmware for this batch ? Possible or am I gullible ... Still waiting ...:dunno:

Canon 7D officially launched today in Brunei with a photojournalist to boost sales(hopefully). Have a look at the prices here in Brunei..

Just got email reply from the shop in Osaka and as we all know already, the warranty for body is local, ie. the country of purchase only. Price wise - same as MS Color after currency conversion.

Revisiting this....

I am not an expert in price watching - both pre and post IT Exhibition. Alot of my friends have asked me to consider waiting till either the SITEX or post-SITEX sales. However, another group argued that it is really not worth the wait cos there are really not much differences.

Questions are ..... Was it traditionally better (in terms of price) to purchase camera during SITEX or even after SITEX ? And will the freebies (if any) differs alot from the current CANON promotion ?

Appreciate some insights.

guess those who want freebies for their 7D purchases have to wait till sitex at end november...
