Canon 7D arrival time

I was just at Cathay this afternoon. They have stock. John 3:16 didn't have any when I asked.

Any idea what the price was?

That's why Cathay still got stock, they're selling too high the price, not worth it, rather wait longer. Called Parisilk HV 2weeks ago, and they quote me $2400 with GST body only but they're currently out of stock, they will inform me once they have it in stock.

Hello you can do the same if you want too. I am open enough to share with the rest where and how much I got the 7D and I don't need such a comment from you. :nono: By the way this is a newly release lens and the RRP is $829.00.

the kit lens are selling at $600 nett from some reputable shops... resale value for 18-135mm IS is $500 or less.. the IQ is inferior compared to 18-55mm IS.. only thing good is the reach :bsmilie:

everyone knows that the RRP and street price can differ by hundreds, especially for lens...

Since this topic is still on "arrival time"....

Based on Canon's market in Singapore, what was the past trend like for the "arrival time" of the 2nd and subsequent shipment to be delivered for any new Canon DSLR ? Will the replenishment of stocks thereafter be on a regular basis ?

Any ballpark figure to look at for price reduction ? I remember when 500D was first released, it was advertised at $1500plus... and after a few months, I got it for $1250.... and now, I think it's much lesser. Of course I am not looking at a drastic fall in price for the 7D.... just wanna have a decent gauge on when the price has stabilized.
