Canon 7D arrival time

Simple. Base on the pre-order list on where $$$ is not a concern. The 1st wave have been wipe out because the demand is huge on this camera. If possible, the 2nd wave will also be wiped out as well. Only the priorities will get it first. Lets wait till end of the month as annouced by Canon.

Not aware of any shop in Singapore that accepts pre-order cash...

Then again, I am not aware of any under-the-table type of transaction. :bsmilie:

For me, I had reserved a set since the camera was annouced.
Hopefully, I will get a set from the first wave together with the Macro.
The additional battery will be useful when using with 7D and 5DMK2.
Will be using it in an event in a couple of weeks time.

I wanted to pre-order too, but my supplier told me don't need as they said no problem with the stock for 7D. Hope they know me well enough to reserve a set. Yep, this is gonna be an expensive month.. wanna get the 100L and another 17-55 too (sold mine previously).

Already got 4 LP-E6 with the 7D's one, but looks like may need more as I'm using for video too. We should get together sometime, go shoot and share ideas coz we seem to share a lot in common. Wanna do a FCC/CE test on the new PWs? Really wondering if the CE has any range advantage even though I never shoot that far away anyway.

You must be one of the priority customer which your supplier will trust. Normally, in order for a supplier to reserve a set for a customer. They have trust the customer must buy the product once they come. Likewise for me, I gave my word to the supplier that I will buy the product and they trust me. Maybe even give me a further discount. :bsmilie:

A check with CP this morning seems like a waiting list has formed already. But this is only "enquiry" in my opinion as the waitlist is queued without a deposit. A staff quoted "some delay" to Nov, but I'm not sure if that's just salesmanship... Anyhow, seems like the Kit with 18-135mm will arrve before the body-only package arrives.

singapore market is a bit slow, my friend in bei jing already using it for a few days. It cost him 11100RMB, which is around s$ 2290 for the body. Just be patient for another 2-3 days loh....
