did you use manual or auto focus for your video clips? if you autofocus, will you hear those beeps when the camera achieves focus?

manual all the way. Just eyeballing. U can use the AF button but it's a little slow but still faster than 5D2.

Thru someone I know... will be collecting from CP next week... the 1st batch of 7Ds actually arrived in S'pore on Friday (25th Sep), awaiting for distribution to all dealers in the SEA region...

Also got the very 1st set of my 50D last year Sep thru this way...

Yep, HKG can buy already. Maybe Singapore bigger than HKG, so Canon needs more time . Someone also told me that the distributors cannot agree on the price to sell it at, so, waiting for someone to list ... Probably just a swipe at Canon because he's a Sony user.

There's some truth in the Singapore being 'bigger' part because Canon Singapore is the hub for the whole S.E.A. region, so its a little trickier. A lot like the Benelux ( Belgium, Luxemburg, Netherlands region in Europe when it comes to their goods distribution)

As for the agreement on price, I think its more speculation than anything else because its always Canon that determines the price, not the distributors.

As for buying this camera, nah... will skip this one, I just need BIG glass... :bsmilie::sweat:

SRP is set by Canon Singapore for the region, so no argument among distributors...

Simple. Base on the pre-order list on where $$$ is not a concern. The 1st wave have been wipe out because the demand is huge on this camera. If possible, the 2nd wave will also be wiped out as well. Only the priorities will get it first. Lets wait till end of the month as annouced by Canon.
