Do you know when will the stock be released to the stores?
my guess should be these couple of days... canon singapore has just shipped the 1st batches (for BG-E7) to the neighbouring countries first (for fair distribution), since S'pore always get the stock on a regular basis...
another thing to take note that unlike the previous grips (e.g. BG-E2N) that are made in Japan, BG-E7 is made in Taiwan... which probably explains why the model number plate is not attached in front of the grip, but rather 'printed' on top of the grip (which will be hidden when attached to the body)
in general, quite disappointed with the quality of BG-E7... i placed huge emphasis on a grip... IMHO, a camera without a grip is like half a camera...

Was at AP SLS and new stock for 7D is in.
They have 2 grip as well (read limited stock and not sure if it is being reserved).

Sheesh...do we have a choice? I take quite a fair bit of portraiture, so the grip is very useful and my camera feels naked below without one.;p
Kelvin from CP will call me the 1st thing when the grip arrives in store, as I'd reserved 1 set for my friend... Will let you guys knw the moment I recevd the good news...
as mentioned in the earlier post, you should be paying around $240-260 (street) for the grip...

Yup, that's what Samuel frm John 3:16 said abt the price.
from the way I see it... only the battery compartment grooves are 'sealed'.... i can assure u the great disparity in build-quality between 7D and BG-E7... :bsmilie:

While i do not know the actual retail price, i simply go huh and hmmm and walk out of the store. :bsmilie:

I called them this afternoon, made a reservation and collected it in the evening.
They only have the kit, but they split it up for me. $2450 w GST.
Too late... Maybe tomorrow i try again.
