am intending to get 70-300L as i am interested to shoot birds and street. Issue is my cam is 600D. Kinda feel the lens is overkill on this cam.
Any thoughts or advice?

ok, gonna ask around for price quote of this lens then. The feel is very good and solid on hand.
btw, was at ITshow ytd playing around with telephotozoom and the sale quote me $2099

300mm is not a "overkill". In fact for birds it's prob way underwhelming. U need 400mm & above usually for birding. Unless all u intend to do is shoot birds in the JBP or common birds like crows or pigeons

SKIP that.
You can get a brand new local set under $2K easily. Check out shops like Cathay Photo, TK etc, you will see them in the range of $1.9k plus.
And yes! This lens DEFINITELY feels good and solid, and grip is great.
If you don't mind used unit, there is one going for 1.5k - 1.6k at BnS. Pretty good price![]()
yes it is, saw that yesterday!
now looking for any good priced Sigma 12-24mm :embrass:
Then all the best for your find. If u found it, u've the same setup as me!! Well, except mine's not a MK II.
