Canon 70-300 F4-5.6 IS USM L or 100-400 F4.5-5.6L or Sigma 150-500 F5-6.3?

Yup I've noticed the similarity too!

While I have the MK II, you have more skills than me, I'm just a baby learning to walk ;p

There's always something new to learn, even though i've been in photography for so many years.

yup.. it's an endless journey. for the fact that things around us are constantly changing, we need to constantly adapt ourselves to these changes in order to get the best shot of them!

Can't agree more bro, but in SG most things have already been covered, need to travel overseas more to get other shots! :D

I brought this lens to Taiwan last year but only used it to shoot a small show. Hopefully this coming June's trip to HK can use it again! :)

Definitely! Although heavy, but it's a very good lens for street shots, really! ;p
and HK is a good place for streets :D

I wanted to bring all for my Japan trip too, but I find carrying everything with tripod is too happy, and so heck, I shoot everything on 50L :bsmilie:
But I deeply regret going without a UWA for buildings and some streets (their streets is very good for UWA too), and 70-300L to shoot some people (they are NOT camera friendly at all). :(

Especially when u're in a foreign land, u'll need to study their culture and respect it most imptly. I never bring my tripod overseas cos it's too heavy for traveling and if i've to take night scenes, i'll just use my 12-24 wide open with ISO 800.

Just curious, locally have good spots for star trails meh???

I have not tried this yet.....

Normally, I thought only like country side will not have light pollution to get good image.... city... very hard... maybe mac richie bridge at night???

It is a never ending learning process, and so much you can explore and create if you think hard and sometime, fluke shots that is very well turn out.....

Have, but of cos u need a very dark place and a completely clear day.

The last time i took was at the end of a trail beside the sea at Punggol.

haha it surprises me to see 3 of us having very similar lens lineup :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

a WA zoom, 50L, 70-300L... pretty versatile eh? I only use my 50L for portraits and streets, most of the time the 16-35L is on my camera body. Sad enough the 70-300L does not get much use; might be considering to selling it off to fund for 24-70L II :(

But I dun have the 16-35. My 12-24 is mainly for landscapes/cityscapes, streets and is my most used lens. 50L same as u (portraits and streets) while the 70-300L for some streets, events/stage events and a bit of portraits too.

well, it is indeed a very very versatile set up :bsmilie:

Yes, 50L is for portraits and street you. Depending on the type of street, I use 70-300L heavily on streets too, to capture people's natural actions/expressions. It is also used to shoot small animals like cats, who may shy and run away from you.

UWA, no need intro :p

Anyone use both 70-200 f4 and 70-300L before here.
Whats the difference and why u switch ?
Still can't decide which to go for.
