I just checked with Canon, they do not calibrate 3rd party lenses, which is understandable. So far I believe that my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 is a sharp copy, but I shall run a calibration test sometime soon just to be sure.

I believe that you can still get your lens calibrated by Sigma (if necessary). Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes you can. I got my Sigma 50mm f1.4 calibrated to my 550D a while back. Going back again to calibrate the lens with my 60D soon. ;)

How much do they charge for this and how long does it take?

How much do they charge for this and how long does it take?

For a new lens, it's free. It takes about 2 hours. I've done it for a Sigma 150 f/2.8 macro lens before. Their procedure is intuitive and transparent.

After a short testing of EOS 60D, It is a better camera than previous 50D in term of image quality.
For me, the high iso performance is more realistic compare to D7000 (based on dpreview comparison)

So where to get the cheapest 60D body in Sg now? Last heard was slr revolution at $1380?

For a local set, it's free for the calibration. If an overseas set, think they charge $80 from what I heard.

Was quite fast for me when i went to calibrate my lens because i was the first one. About 45mins.

Best advice is to pick one up in Hong Kong (Mong Kok shops). This works well if you are planning a trip there or if you have a friend who is going.

Next best advice is to keep checking the Buy and Sell section of ClubSnap.

Last advice go to the Funan Mall and do a survey of all the shops and their pricing/service/freebies and then choose one that best meets your objectives.

The 60D is a great camera. You will not be disappointed. Good luck. :)

is anyone out there hoping that Santa will deliver a 60D to them from the North Pole?

For those of you that are lucky enough to own a 60D, what are the lenses or accessories that you want Santa to bring for you?

hi everyone. im gonna buy a 60d soon and plan to match it with a canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM as my only lens for now. anyone has this setup? care to comment? how do you find the iq? planning to shoot both photos and videos, so i didnt really look at the variable aperture lenses and the constant aperture value ones are off my budget for now.

Hi, anyone using Canon 60D with 24-105F4L Lens? How's the match and any sample pic? Thanks

Yes, I've got this combi + a EF-S 15~85 F/3.5 for a walkabout. I've not used it yet, will keep u updated after my day out this Sat. You may want to visit this website below on its review, there are also threads comparing the 50mm 1.2 vs 1.4 vs 1.8.

Which version of the 100mm macro lens do you have?... the "L" or non "L" version. I am considering on getting the non L version for myself and I am wondering how you are liking yours? Would it be possible for you to post some macro photos of your little lizards?

I feel like 50mm on a cropped sensor like 60d is too tight for me...will get a sigma 30mm or 28mm one instead
