Usually, I just set the zone for shooting (cam can recognize different zone for landscape or portrait, depending on your holding of the camera), and I seldom need to reset when shooting....

If I use point, I need to select and select....

Center AF point focus, and recompose technique is good for 5D cos it's center AF is the best.... and pro tend to use this technique to be fast....

which pros ah?

Haha, I thought the same but was able to resist the urge to ask. lol

Anyway, only the output counts. Nobody gives a s**t what technique you use. ;-)

One of the instructor I attended a workshop, and she was sharing it with us.... she is from the US....... and she taught studio portraits....

I think the genes of photography could be a consideration for that style of shooting, but aperture cannot be too small when using that technique....

At the end of the day.... it is the image that counts.....

Bias...... I think many canon and Nikon cams and lens are from the two region you have mentioned. At least, I know canon flash light are made in china

there will be an event in sg on next fri. whether its the announcement of the new cam or arrival of 1dx, got no idea. canon sales guy was tight lipped abt it.

It will probably be the announcement of the new camera as the Canon 1Dx is rumoured to be delayed until April or May.

congrats to him if he read this.

So 28th Feb is not the announcement date after all? Erh... Hope cr is right abt 2nd march

Yee hah!!! :cheergal:

The 5D MkIII has finally arrived in a CR3!

I can't wait for the official announcement. All the specs are close to what I wanted except for price. The price is $500 USD over the D800 so I wonder if there is something else with the 5D that justifies this premium. Anyway, I'm glad that it's finally on its way!
