no no no. not on purpose. i dun have much info and i don't see my boss often so not much chance to ask him. anyway anything newer will be better than the ones we are using now.

so can't complain. i don't think its very high res cos we are using mamiyas in the studio already.

i am still using my mark 3 for my freelance work.

can launch la. the camera already being in production. launch in feb, ship in march. i am sure the specs are already cast in stone in 2011.

now i understand they want to make sure there will be enough units when it starts shipping. manufacturer induced low supply sucks to me.

Haha anyone noticed people are frantically trying to sell their 5DII now? The price have really came tumbling down as we move closer to end February.

Now hope the new camera is good enough to justify all these hype that has been ongoing the past few weeks.

the value seems to be going down faster than the 5D last time, i remember it took quite awhile to drop even after M2 was out.

I have the same thinking on 20's. Btw comparing with the smallest megapixel on the current MF, which is around 22.
Hopefully, it can match with it or a bit higher.

The people selling their 5DIIs now are taking a huge risk. They are speculating that the upcoming announcement will be for a 5DII replacement and price will be in the 3-4k range. If the replacement turns out to be a 3D or something and that the price is way off their budget, the might regret their decision later.

Anyway it's a good time to buy 5DIIs now.

I can live with mp's in the 20's as long as AF is markedly improved. Also, I will be looking for higher ISO limits, better DR and lower noise.

Nice to have's would include:

lower price than the D800
flip screen
pop up flash
flash control
FPS in the 6-8 range.
weather proofing/better sealing
GPS
no lock on the mode dial (60D)

Maybe they are set to get the new cam and selling now, they thought they will not lose as much money as later..... It is a gamble... either they did it right or not....
