not the 1dx. beyond budget because all the photogs are issued with a camera. we are using the first gen 5d now. dun be envious.

our cameras are breaking down very frequent nowadays so the timing is just right for us. just got personalised domke bags given by the canon sales guy last week. lol.

5D classic..... it is still great camera with great images...... but if you are a pro, guess the shutter count is very high...... wear and tear, breakdown rate sure very high too.... Was it the 5D classic the one with the mirror issue??? How long were you using the 5D????

the wear on the cams is terrible. cam in n out of service centre very often now. just got back my cam. yeah. its the one with the mirror problem. i just joined them not long ago. i am using my own camera lately. used to it already.

I guess with the amount of shooting you shoot, the life span could be 1/4 of some consumer's 5D..... that mirror problem could have accelerated it more....

Hope the new FF body will have lesser of such issues.... I still think it is a 3D.... haha......

sorry. no idea whats the shutter count but it has failed just before i joined. they also had to fix the usb port so i can tether my camera.

all the other cams are unable to tether to the macs anymore. haha.

one cam is unable to focus accurately wide open. not repairing it anymore since new cameras are on the way. we are just sharing or using the 5d mk2 loaners at the moment.

i am using the ancient 1d mk3.

we shoot everyday from 9 to 6. monday to fridays. haha. so we really need something reliable for work.

afaik, its not a 5d mk2 replacement but something better.

Nope. We are not given any units to test. We were given the 1dx when it was out last yr but like i said it was beyond studio budget. Canon sales guy recommend waiting for the march new product as well and we dont need the high res as we already have mf for those shoots.

Hahahaha............. So I am right????? I have been thinking Canon splitting up their FF into 2 segment... FF sports & FF studios.......

Just hope to hear the announcement soon.... but if announce in Feb, March can launch meh??? Enough time???
