It will...good for those eyeing on a used set

yeaaahhh :D that's the point of my question...
my friend told me there's possibility of Mk2 will go up. because of the demand since it won't be in production anymore.
all depend on Mk3 price though.

the downside of Mk2 for me is the slow fps as I like to shoot wildlife & sports.. :(

Perhaps a 7D or a used 1D3 will fit your purpose better...

IDx comes without battery crip.... one solid 'block' of camera :bsmilie:

That's right...forgot about the built in grip.

Canon sure knows how to keep their customers in suspense..

Perhaps a fake photo, but more and more information seems to be filtering in about the 5D MkIII... a good sign that its launch is imminent.

The latest information which appears to be an "official leak" states:

1. Full frame sensor will be 22 mp
2. FPS = 7.5

Still 22mp? :(

aiya, maybe they play waiting game lar.... they wait for Nikon to launch D800 and see what they can improve on and launch theirs... at the same time, Nikon also waiting for Canon to launch 5DMKIII then they improve on it.... so wait and wait..... Merry Christmas... :bsmilie::lovegrin:

In the meanwhile, Sony sneaks in and releases the full-frame A99: light-weight and cheaper. I'll be the first in line for Sony A99. Bye, bye to Nikon and Canon. :bsmilie:

7.5 fps for a 'budget' FF camera ?? That is quite good... Not everyone need 10-12 fps like those of the 1D MkIII or 1Dx... If a FF could do 6 fps for RAW... that is fast enough for most user... :thumbsup:

Fps is not everything. I prefer optical viewfinder and will trade it for a slower but still gd fps.

Sony A99 will be 12fps

But will the A99 be in the "budget" or "High End" section ?? :think:

Hahaha... all are rumors anyway... We'll just have to wait and see.... :bsmilie:

I'd even settle for a 5 fps but really want the AF to be as fast as 7D. I only hope price won't be sky-high...

If its up to me... just a real basic and highly affordable FF that doesn't even have HD video if Canon could keep the price down.

All I need...
* 12-18MP
* 19 AF point like 7D
* 4-5 fps for RAW
* 12800 ISO expandable to 25600...
* Digi 4 (dual chip) or 5 (single chip)

Selling no more than $2200, body only.... but dream dream dream of course.... :sweat:
