My cousin directs a advertising company locally and Canon is his client. Met up with him over CNY, and he says "a new camera will be coming out in April/May, might be worth buying, just like your 5D Mark II (gestures to what I'm using for filming)".

Seems legit. He wasn't wrong about hinting the 1D4 to me too.

Could that be the 1dx?

That's probably the price of the body alone. I remembered the kit was about S$5,200 thereabouts, and the body was in the region of S$3,600.

Coz I've my bro's wedding coming in April n for that, thinking if I should 2nd hand a 5D2 n sell off afterward or get a UWA for my crop (if I'll lose a lot in reselling 5D2) This 5D3 mystery makes me more confusing *shrugs*

Yup, thinking, coz can't afford to hv 2 bodies as I'm not pro (not yet at least) yet also itchy to get 5D3 afterwards... :sweatsm:

Similar but with some extra buttons. Interestingly the battery grip is something new, with an extra joystick. I wonder if this is new for canon?

Yes, it does resemble the 7D a great deal. But if you look closely, you'll notice that the viewfinder size as well as pentaprism bulge is proportionately larger than that on the 7D. If you take the mode dial and flash mount as the standard comparison for size.

when 5D2 came out the 5Dc price went from 2.2k to 1.8k. now the price range for 5D2 around 2.5 - 2.6 I have seen some at 2.2 not sure what the condition is like tho. definitely will go down
