Tried out the 40D at Comex. It's quite a bit beefier than the 20D/30D.

Thicker grip, heavier overall. It's quite a change from the 20D/30D, but IMO, if you have either the 20D/30D, there is no real impetus to change.

Just got back from Comex and held the 40D which is heavier and like the feel of its body as well as the grip. ;p

So just Q and paid for it.

hmm i like the extra auto button on the top right next to the picture zooms, another alternative to refocus.

shutter sound is just alittle softer than my 350D, but i think the 350D shutter sound is more "original" ? sounds like other cameras (non-DSLR) that i have used before hmm

i haven't tried the iso yet... anyone know how to set 3200 iso ? .. going out .. no time to play play yet :x

Local warranty card must mention about "Canon Singapore" on it & comes with shop's official stamp on it....I just called MS color... they have more than 10pcs there...heheh...heading there in 5 min...hehehe...

There may seem to be a lot of freebies, but in actual fact, you are paying for all these freebies. The freebies are simply the difference between the RRP and street rate. Sometimes, the cost of these freebies may not even add up to the difference.

In the case of Comex, well, if what Zoomster said is true, the only extra stuff is the Maxtor 80GB portable HDD. I believe a similar one outside cost around $110+ prehaps?

yupz, think the difference of th e80GB HD you can get a DIGI III ? or a 80GB 2.5" HD divx player ... but you have to waste time hunt around :sweat:

the ISO3200 should be activated from Custom Functions (if it is the same as 20/30D..)
