No doubt this is a L lens but it is f4 so considering the focal lenght its not such a great lens thats why the relative cheap price.

i think the price is $1100++ but like everywhere no stock leh... can ask ap or ms colour, they might have...

Thanks! Ya... seems like everywhere no stock. Maybe should call up Canon and ask them why. Maybe the price will go up because of the shortage. Hmmm....

Got supposedly the last piece from MSColor today.
Nice folks there, much nicer than any other shops I've ever visited! :thumbsup: Too bad it's far away from where I work/stay.

The 77mm filters are expensive though.
Hoya HMC for $56 and PL-Cir for $76. Anyone got a better price from elsewhere?

Hee... yes, have stated up front my reasons for selling my good and "minty" 20mm. I'll have to wait and see if the additional $$ I put in is worth it. I miss zooooommm...

Frankly, it was the review at Lumi-Landscape that pushed me over the Line. I found his reviews to be quite objective, at least from users' point of view, not just hardware specs. Have only read the Photo.net one 2 nights ago. Also seemed quite promising.

Me just not enough money to get one

I guess it was less painful for me, just need to top up. Alternatively, just save $4 a day, can get it in a year's time! For $8, it's only half a year! I think the main thing is to make sure I use it often enough, to justify its existence. Hope I won't buy and end up keeping it in the dry cabinet.
