this is just my personal opinion and workflow .. so take it with a pinch of salt.
i just shoot in RAW right now for what its worth. I am also trying to make sure I setup the shot correctly before firing off (at most 2 continuous shots). the only exception is when the shot is difficult and I am guessing .. then i just keep the shutter release pressed down .. let the camera take as much as possible and see which one works. i use this mainly for my kids .. since they are constantly moving and I dont always have time to make sure i get exposure/focus etc all correct. the other exception to taking multiple shots is cos i am still at the learning stage .. i take different settings so I know their effects.

personally I think shooting in RAW allows you to recover from SOME mistakes but not all. I have taken some shots where the exposure was wrong 'cos I left the ISO in the wrong setting so it was either too dark or too bright. I did PP using DPP and (at least w my eye) it looks like how it might be if i got the ISO,shutter,aperture correctly done.

Currently using Lightroom but I think DPP is good as well (its Canon's own software after all .. they should know they are stuff).

yeaps. everthing related to cleaning, user's fault, blah blah blah, need to pay. Cause i scratched my viewfinder mirror:sweat: paid $25 for it. $5 for the mirror and $20, erhm i think for the workmanship?

and that terrence tan guy was a good CSO.. i was actually trying to become a difficult customer as there was still dust on my new mirror. I asked him to tell the technician to clean it again and again and he was like moving back and fro from his desk to the back room. i think i asked him around 4-5 times.(thumbs up)
