This is nice. you might also want to try a head on composition of the train approaching instead of leaving just like the train going into the frame. And yes, keep on posting ya.

may i know where is the location of thisss....thanksssssss:D:D:D

Very nice composition and symmetry  But on a side note, i think there is some minor barrel distortion at the bottom.

Hi niciku,

Thanks for your kind compliments! The KTM photo was shot at the train tracks near Rifle Range Rd. Do be careful though, there are quite a few cases of people being hit by the train. If you need any more details, you can PM me.

Thank you!
AC

Although this scene has been shot quite a number of times, and I hope this photo gives it a different flavour from what already is out there. My first impression of this scene was that it's pretty cinematic- seems like it's out of a movie like The Lake House or something. Tried to capture/bring out that mood with the crop and processing.

Enjoy!

Hi simpleliving,

Thank you very much for your kind compliment! I think, even though some places in Singapore are honestly shot to death and the best angles all seem to be shot already, processing can still give the same scene a different and new feel :)

The tree is taken at Upper Seletar Reservoir!

Thanks for viewing & have a nice day,
AC

Nothing fancy about this. Walked to Macritchie from home a few days back to enjoy the sunset. Though it wasn't too spectacular, managed to get this shot.

This was taken with a 40-150mm (80-300mm equiv) lens at 79mm (158mm equiv) and then cropped into a square- an unusual choice for a landscape but I think this is how it works best. Minimal editing on the colours. Singapore DOES have light pink sunsets. :)

It's a nightmare to take landscapes at Macritchie I think, with all the canoe lanes in the middle of the reservoir. I don't have photoshop to clone out everything in the water so I had to try and blend them into the silhouette of trees in the background by going as low as possible.

Haven't been using my camera in ages, so I'm digging into my archives! I'm not fantastically happy with it... will probably reshoot this when exams are over..

I love the #1, 2, 7... and most of the recent shots.

Felt for #8 maybe a square crop might look good too :dunno:

I like how you processed #2 and made it look like it's not usual of Singapore. (:. I recently saw a set of photos on flickr that post processes heartland shots in the same theme of colours/tone. Very nice (:

I face a similar dilemma in #9, instead mine's because I don't like how the trees in our reservoirs looks like in shots - very hard to compose a photo of the sky when they are in it. Personally I don't like how they look in photos. haha!

By the way, what equipment do you shoot with?
