I understand what you mean when you say it's fun, because I find shooting black & white film with a manual camera, then processing and developing it myself really fun. But I don't know, why spend the $15 - $20 per filter when PS can do it for you? I wouldn't think that color correction filters are as critical for digital photography, as they are for film.
