600? not easy to track birds with it unless you want to try handholding? which means you need big arms to do it..lsisaxon said:Sai lah... Like this you call pro shots, if not just want to show the eagle fly away, I won't put this kind of shots up siah.. siah suay only..
I'll probably be going to catch this birdie again. That time saw it dive vertically down to catch fish.. but my camera wasn't ready.. all over in a couple of seconds..
Anyone willing to loan me 600/4?![]()

Wait for the eagle to swoop down vertically into the sea to catch fish lor.. I just want that moment!! 400/2.8 on a monopod should be good, I guess.. My longest lens is 300/4. Still it'll be better than the 18-200 @ 200/5.6.yanyewkay said:600? not easy to track birds with it unless you want to try handholding? which means you need big arms to do it..

Tell me about it.. 300/4 also very difficult to track liao!! I was using ISO800 with 1/1000" @ f/5.6 then can get useable picture. At f/4, DOF a bit too shallow. At slower speed, the bird blur. Sigh... Anyway, no eagle this time round... Just practised with some crows first.. hehehe..yanyewkay said:600? not easy to track birds with it unless you want to try handholding? which means you need big arms to do it..
