camera lens repair

Hi guys,

Was looking on advice whether should i repair my Tamron 28 75. It keeps giving me err01 on my canon 60D and refuses to shoot most of the time.
Found a guy quoting 120 for the repair, but unsure as to is it worth it.

I originally bought it for 250 used.

Sorry to hijack the thread..same issue here..lens gt problem..sent it for servicing..and it was quoted 600+..to repair or replace?

Btw, the lens is nikkor 70-200 f2.8 vr2

Let me guess, SWM problem? Squeaky/intermittent/ unable to turn?
It's usually caused by oxidation in the motor, probably the lens was kept for too long.
It can be fixed without replacing the SWM
