[ Camera ] All about the OLYMPUS PEN Lite E-PL5

mine is a tamron DSLR bag... AP gave me as free gift when i bought my E-PL2... although the bag is too big for E-PL2... to me it's just nice...! cos i use the bag for my other barang barang like umbrella... mp3 player... nexus 7... mobile charger etc... the E-PL2 only takes up less than 1/3 space... i still got room to carry my other 2 lens w/o bringing extra bag... so i'm very happy with the bag...
and oh... i just received my camera at my US address address....! zzz the volumetric weight is a freaking 4.5kg... luckily hopshopgo/cgw got option to repack... repacking costs USD7.... but after repacking the volumetric weight is down to 2kg... and after 1st kg off (promo code: PPLNOV10) and 10% paypal discount for 1st time user... shipping (including fuel surcharge, insurance and repacking) is USD17.08.... plus GST of USD41.82... total convert to SGD is about $74.... plus the camera total cost is about SGD761 (body only).... still very good deal...!

I put the EM5, two other lenses, battery pack, iPad, blower and some misc items all inside

Hi, repack option means what? They take away the big box, and pack the items into a smaller box?
But in a smaller box, does that means lesser protections?
Wahaha all my orders reaches my US address le, waiting for me to ship them back to sg only. ^_^

yes... essentially is take item out of big box and pack into small box.... less protection..? i don't see wat's there less protection... if ur big box is full of air... ur item will have plenty of space to roll about so is actually LESS protection... if the box is full of stuffing to cushion the item then yes it has more protection...
but no matter wat... ur camera itself is originally packed in a small box by the manufacturer... that provides some protection... in addtion ur camera is not exactly "fragile" item like some glass jug or something right...? so i wouldn't be too worried about having more protection...
and my camera has departed cincinnati on way to HK liao... i think by friday or sat morning i should be able to get it..!

it's free upgrade to DHL express with hopshopgo... if u use DBS/POSB card for comgateway also free upgrade to express...
u can call in to arrange a re-delivery on another date u want... can be sat.... if u dun call in they'll re-attempt delivery again...
