Calling out to Billingham owners!!! (Past and Present)

I owned Hadley Small (sold), Hadley Large and 445. 445 is for 2 body + 4 lenses + 2 flashes.

Hadley Large has a notebook slot but it will not hold gripped body. I have a Canon 5DmkII with medium zoom (e.g. 24-105mm) + 70-200mm f2.8 IS on the side with the large 580EX flash in the bag quite comfortably.

335 should be quite a good choice for 1-2 gripped bodies (depends on how many lenses you want to carry).

I found http://www.rtsphoto.com/html/bill.html to be a better website than the Billingham official one. Has a lot more details and the layout is easy to read.

As for getting your bag in Singapore, I would recommend PK Chan. OP is ok but K-13 usually quote you a much higher price.

my 2 cents. Hope this help.

Bro,ur info really helps, will check tat website aft work, didnt thought of Hadley large, but will definitely ask abt it at PK Chan place. I more inclined towards 335 and Hadley Pro nw..:)

yes hadley pro will do. WOOOOOOO!!!

yea, hadley pro is one of my fave bags i have.

sage! what's the colour of yours? and mine's not fibernyte, but i think it's still rather durable.

Ok, guess i list out my stuff i pack into my Hadley original for your reference:

Max i be able to pack

- D90 w/grip attached with 50mm
- 80-200 2.8
- Micro 60mm 2.8
- SB-600
- MB 13 inch
- Extra 3e batteries and AAs, SD cards

and i still be able to have little extra space for another smaller lens

Thansk Bro for sharing ur setup!
Hadley Original, hmm.. another one to consider.. haa..

Bro!Thks alot for sharing ur billingham knowledge and setup..
i quite inclined towards Hadely Pro and 335 and at the way u put it, couldnt resists to either one of them, both look damn sleek, sophiscated and is a class of their own. Darm m maybe could jus end up getting both..haa)
Btw, whichbody u got tat both bags can accomodate? (i think my body + grip very "fat" could pose a challenge )

i guess you can say the hadley is more for lighter set-up and those who will bring other stuff.

the 335 is more dedicated for a full day of shooting, kinda bag. for wedding and events, you can't go wrong with the 335, and the accessibility is better as compared to the hadley pro

yes they still offer lifetime warranty...

great bags, are built to be beaten the death out of it.

i have tried to fit a 13 inch MBA, but anyone tried any thicker 13 inch laptop?

share it here, as TS needs to fit in a laptop if possible..

i think hadley pro or large should be ok right?

Yup bro, i using a Mac Book Pro, if possible i wud luv to fit the notebook in on the go, but can compromise (get one billingham wifout the notebook compartment)and fall back to my TK UD 50 if there's a need to carry out the laptop. :)

yea, like you said, you can get the best of both worlds..

why did billingham have to discontinue their rucksack!

the rucksack would definitely be big enough to fit what you need,

but you still have a TT! that's the bright side:)

it's a great bag, thats why it's so popular...

it may be expensive at the start but they will realise eventually, it's very worthwhile...

should i start a poll now?:)

Sorry OT abit, may I know how is the quality of Domke bags compared to Billingham bags? I currently own a Domke camera bag and quite curious to know about Billingham.

with a domke i will dare to step out into a heavy shower with the bag in 2 layers of trashbags, confident that the plastic will protect my gear. with a billingham i can leave my trash bags at home

One up for PK

He delivers to any place even though I bought a Simplies lens pouch. Billingham warranty is also short of amazing. I complained to Billingham HQ that my divider cushioning has "collapsed". Next min, they got PK to deliver the replacement to my office personally :thumbsup:

I got a 550 more than 10yrs back and now realise its a little too big. Tend to use my low-profile red Crumpler on tours. Looks more like a casual bag but nothing beats the class of a Billingham.

Hehehe .... here's my humble 206.

Enough for a body, 2 zooms and a flash.

206 looks good as well. Thks alot for sharing (esp wif pics)

Bro, do u think it can ammodate my gear without the laptop??

thx for reminding me... my domke will accompany me to aus this time round. need some rain protector ><

I knew Billingham is lasting, but how about your shoulders?? Isnt it heavy carrying all of it.

It does! haha... i normally pack that for my location shoots... otherwise if i'm traveling or walking around, i usually travel quite light.. just the cam body w/o grip and a 35 or 50mm prime.

getting old already.... cough cough..lol

It does really! Hmm.. Packington, another to chose.. Checked out the product image in their website and it's really sophiscated and classic looking.
Maybe can shortlist as well.. Wow, u do carry a lot of stuff with you, i mus say it shd take quite a toll on ur shoulders with tat amount of weight my friend.

yes it does..lol.. old man already... haha...

btw, i think it's good to go try out the bags and have a feel of what u really like.. end of the day, i feel that each billingham bag has its own appeal... personally i like the design of the packington and the spaciousness. i had a tough time choosing btw the hadley pro, packington and the 306..lol

btw, i'ld suggest getting the khaki tan color.. it looks better as it ages/gets dirtied..lol
