Yes , the mainsdock is great .
Pamela tells me that the Pro7B battery generator with 2 ProB heads is $ 5,900 before 7% !

Hi to the profoto ppl out there.first let me intro myself , my name is eugene and i do not own any profoto stuff yet. I'm in photography for couples of year and love fashion photography but due to work commitment it doesn't allow me to learn abt studio/flash photography . Do you guys welcome 1st timer to share knowledge or is there any ppl out there provide good studio photography lesson ? I'm heard lots abt profoto studio equipment and is the top range of lighting that pros would use. i will want to buy profoto equipment to set up my home mini studio. b4 i buy any of the equipment i would want to know more and that will allow me to decide what i need . hope to hear from u ppl out there thank you

After checking out whats in the market I have decided on :-

Profoto Acute 2 1200 Generator with 2 Acute/D4 Heads - $ 3990 .
(An extremely lightweight (4.1kg) Asymmetric generator package.)

The Gen has 3 Asymmetric/symmetric sockets , can do 10 frames/sec and is lightweight .
Comes with 500watts modelling lamp ( can do continous and video ).
With magnum zoomeble reflector gives f90 at 2 m on ISO 100 .
Compared to the rest it has more power than all the claimed 1200ws.
This with the diffused dome on !
Other brands this is optional - another $350.
This beautiful light gives nearly no hotspots on a models face giving that up market New York magazine look .
(Friends in NY say almost everyone uses Profoto there . )

Yes , I paid a lot more for it years ago .
A good workhorse and the wide spread really fills a Big Softbox .
Shot the interior of a car once and all that was needed to do was to poke the head in .
Because the light off the head was more than 180 deg spread , covered the whole interior.

Checked this one out before , the Sticklight has a switch from Acute to Pro Heads and vice versa.
