The Profoto D1 250 , although touted as an entry level for Profoto is miles ahead of the competition .
It is small ( 300 x 130mm) , lightweight ( 2.23 kgs ) fast recycle ( 2- 15 frames /sec) , short flash duration ( 1/1400 - 1/3700 sec ).
Besides being Automatically multivolatge it has the famous profoto parentage of consistent colour ( Not more than 30 K shift) and correct exposure each time ( +-0.05 f stop). It has a built-in standard reflector at 77 degrees and is robust and capable of 500 exposures in a hour consistently.
I have one unit just for fill-in but it is capable of keeping up with the Pro generators.

Heard about maybe need a glass dome for the softboxes .
Denis say no need accept for very wide lightshapers.
Anyway , wanted to buy the Creative light 150 Octa , so we tried it out .
The result was very good , shadows were minimum and gradual and only with one light . The 150 octa without softgrids is now only $ 800 with free speedring .
Watch out for the new babe at Shriro Studio !
Also , was told that there will be a Profoto Group Gathering this 28th April !

Got to see the new Prodaylight HMI light now at the Shriro studio.
They said will be at the Show on 28th April Prug .
This 800 watts flicker-free continouslight will allow for still and video shooting at the same time .

Thank Bryan for a very titillating Talk and demo of wedding Photography Lighting and Poses .
So many lady photgraphers . ( we gotta pose some hunks next round then )
The New Manfrotto Bags looked posh and classy .
The new Profoto continous lights with the Top Lantern softbox gave out full CGi spectrum of light !
No wonder the price tag .
And the Lucky Draw drew many happy responses.
VIPs present included TTHua , Mark L , L Chew , TTHiang , PChua ,JChoo , Padriag H ....
See you guys again next month then .

Got my very first lighting kit too, e AcuteB2 600 AirS. Now come e "aftermath" hahaha light shaping tools !!! Thinking of a magnum reflector and a 3x4 softbox. Any suggestions guys ??? Thanks

you may want to consider the following factors since you are going to use a one light system for now
your shooting style, the results of the light shaper and where and how you are going to use it.

WOW, e mola demi beauty dish !!! Is it heavy when mounted on e head ???
weight is ok. but it's not as portable compare to the photek softlighter (Annie L. uses this).
softlighter is 70usd only. you can buy it together with the Mola so you can save on the delivery charge.
don't forget to buy a speedring for Mola-profoto. It's around 25USD. No need to buy the expensive speedring.

Thanks alot for e info, really appreciate it. My worries are on e demi's weight, might be putting on alot of stresses on e head. Looking at e setti also, it has a bracket, but at 600 watts full, I am not sure how effective it is.
