C2040Z Users: Off-centre Focusing issue

Hi guys,

Just wanna ask does our camera supports off centre focusing?

Meaning that the focus does not have to be at the centre but maybe off centre and somewhere left or right of the picture?

I've read the manual but dun think have came upon this.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hee no prob. $750 at John 3:16 and I believe almost 90% of the users bought it there too

Me using the same dc..
What I will do is to press the shutter button halfway on the object to be focused and then shift to re-frame the photo and shoot.

Yep I saw this on the online manual as well.

However when u recompose, will the focusing pt be at the centre again?

hi blitz

after when u focus on the subject, and press the shutter half-way, you are locking the focus already..

then u move the frame to where u want while stilling holding to the half-pressed shutter...

this way the AF is lock at the distance to the original focused subject..

if u do not let go of the half-pressed shutter, the focus will not change...

Ok maybe that means like if there are 2 objects A and B.

If I half-pressed to focus on object A, then later on I shift the frame to object B, the focus (sharp point) will still remains in object A.

Am I getting this right?
