you can't be sure man. a seller with that much post in bns selling canon and nikon is a pro or maybe he owns a shop or some sort. he must have a real nick in CS. for all we know, he replied in this thread already.

not sure if you understand my post. his nick is HSMSIGMA, and if he want to clear the issue, he should replied as HSMSIGMA nad currently he is still selling:think: as HSMSIGMA.

I think what kitlens is saying is this 'HSMSigma' might have been one of those who posted '30K shutter count not high', or 'he stated no warranty' or '$50 is fair' or 'you never use laptop to check shuttercount'...etc (I paraphrased)

Addendum to Terms of Service - Multiple Nicks/IDs

With immediate effect, we are implementing a Zero Tolerance Policy over members who register multiple nicks/IDs in ClubSNAP's forums as we have reason to believe that in 99.99% of the cases, multiple nicks/IDs are registered with nefarious intent.

In the event that a member has been reported to us (or discovered by our team in course of carrying out our duties) to have multiple nicks/IDs, we will :-

a) do due diligence to determine that there is indeed an infringement;
b) if a) is conclusive, both nicks/IDs will be deregistered permanently.

Members then have two choices :-
1) Re-register a new nick/ID and continue to participate in the Forums; OR
2) Appeal to have ONE of the nicks/IDs re-instated - members must show cause on WHY we should re-instate AND agree to only maintain ONE nick/ID in ClubSNAP.

In the event that we agree to re-instate a nick/ID, we will MERGE both nicks/IDs into a single nick/ID (eg, MemberA and MemberX will be merged to MemberA; all past and future posts will then be attributed to the merged nick/ID, in this example, MemberA).[/SIZE][/SIZE][/SIZE]

It looks like there was another complaint about him (same cell number, different nickname).
I've sent a 'Report Post' to the moderators. Though I think he will reappear with another nickname, I think it should be our responsibility to start the ball rolling.

I looked at both the accounts canon5d79 and HSMSigma, it seems that they have very identical items on sale. I wonder if we dig a little deeper, how many more clone accounts we can unearth.

I got a 80-200 lens from him. Optically there is no problem with the lens. It's just that its not registering the correct focal length (which i didn't noticed when I was testing it). I tried to contact him on his cell and via PM but to no avail. Here's a snapshot (I purposely airbrushed my contact info) of the PM he sent me to showing that his number and sky79 is the same (and not to mention the location too):

there are many ways to highlight clones to us - simplest is actually to use the report post function... we can't possibly monitor all your posts.

HSMSigma/canon5d79/sky79 has been de-registered for being clones. now that the case is settled, thread closed.
