my colleague's said 4/3 camera quite cheap, cost $700 only?? :dunno:
when my boss asked why the camera focus the back instead of the person in front, this same colleague said shooting people no way to use auto focus, must use manual :dunno:

Speechless...

4/3 is half the 35mm sensor + now the newer models no mirror no pentaprism more compact in size... of course cheaper. But need ZUIKO + LEICA + CARL Zeiss Lengendary lens to get good pics. :-}

I think your Colleagues need a PnS. DSLR too primitive for them... or are they shooting within the mfd.... minimum focusing distance of the lens.... infront cannot focus.. so focus behind.;)

Anyways... Focus 'People's infront' very dangerous... will get whack! Better focus 'people's behind'.:bsmilie:

This weekend! the new Woodlands park! How's that!

A tip on being a good photographer...

Dear Friends

It is of great importance to be observant in photography. Paying attention to the lights and shadows, the subtle movements and the changes around us can greatly impact the moment we click.

In medicine, acute observation may mean lives saved. Do read on to see how important being observant can be:

A lecturer teaching medicine was giving a classroom observation. He took out a jar of yellow liquid. "This," he explained, "is urine. To be a doctor, you have to be observant of color, smell, sight, and taste."

After saying so, he dipped his finger into the jar and put it into his mouth. His class watched in amazement, most in disgust. But being the good students that they were, the jar was passed, and one by one, they dipped their finger into the jar and put it into their mouths.

After the last student was done, the lecturer shook his head. "If any of you had been observant, you would have noticed that I put my second finger into the jar and my third finger into my mouth."

I apologies if you were expecting tips on being observant in shooting. Please get out of your bloody chair and start shooting instead. Cheers!

4/3 not so cheap la...with kit lens also more than $700!! with those lens u mentioned will cost more....expensive hobby :(

just imagine, highly paid boss sure have $$ to buy DSLR..whether know how to use or not is another question. I think he don't really know, resulting back focus!

I've a colleague said he know how to use dslr and using canon 450D. I seen his picture taken during dept dinner at a restaurant..."faint"... he used F11 without flash, pictures are blur with double image, handshake and shutter too slow 1/15 or lower but he said very sharp and nice  those are group pictures...if not he use auto mode!

Been trying to get out of ex-company, searching for new job, then quit again, then now looking for new job again.
Nope didnt get the 24-70mm IS, not out in SG market yet.
Got a 2nd hand 24-70mm lens instead. Temporary use, later will consider upgrade to IS if optics is better and reasonable price.
