So,when you go overseas brining your tripod,do you hand carry it or check it in if your tripod has a tripod bag
I have a bad experience when I travelled to Europe, I check-in my tripod and when I collected it at the airport, the tripod was damaged. Luckly I bought insurance coverage and claimed it.
After the experience, I alway hand carry or place it in my luggage.
upupup!! i need to know if tripods can be carried on board. !!!
Guys, always check with the airline counter when you check in. Some airlines DO NOT allow the tripod to be hand-carried onto the plan. If they do not, at least you can pop your tripod into your luggage before you check it in. My 2 cents from personal experience. Was paranoid when i brought my new tripod overseas for the first time. :bsmilie:
You wouldn't want to be at the boarding gate for the security to tell you that you have to leave your tripod behind..:bheart:
