Bokeh.. is 135mm STF the king of Bokeh lens?

WOW.. so many 85mm f1.4 lens are in Singapore now.. :)

Yes indeed, thats what its all about! I chose Minolta in the first place because of its nice bokeh for most of its lens... most people confuse blurrer background as good bokeh, which isnt really the case. As you already mention, any telephoto lens is able to achieve that.

When we talk about Bokeh, we are not simply talking about the fuzziness or the blurness of the background. I think any reasonable lens in the tele range can produce a fuzzy/blur background.

Bokeh actually refer to the ‘quality’ of the fuzziness. A lens with good bokeh will gives you less defined edges and less distractions against a ‘noisy’ background.

I think if you look through this sets of photos, you’ll understand what it’s all about.

Looking at the Minolta 85mm f1.4 bokeh, man, its fantastic, i am so in love with its bokeh but money no enough, hehe...
 

With current convertion rate. A brand new Sony STF from BHphoto cost ard $2100 including courier fees. Old model no more liao. :(
