Weird. I just bought a Hadley Pro last week. Mine looks like yours, without the 3 strips of velcro. My buckles ain't straight-edged either (rounded brass).

that insert doesn't look legit though, the billingham page:

anyway i saw his bag got this signature by billingham?

look on the left of the bag bag... seems to have a billingham signature tag near the insert. maybe the bag is real but insert is not? haha

that is what i'm thinking too.

his bag looks correct, as far as i can discern.

my hadley pro does not have any billingham signature. does yours have?

i always thought only the 07 series had that signature.

my fiancee's billingham hadley pro, which is made of fibernyte (so newer for sure) bought in easter 09 (feb thereabouts) does not have that signature tag also.

I did not like the shoulder pad, both new and old versions, so I use a Domke U.S. Post Office Shoulder Pad.

Here is what my Hadley Pro looked like (bought from Mr. Chan):

I have never seen those 3 strips of Velcro on my Billinghams ...

But I bought my Black L2 from OP, because Mr. Chan did not have black. It looks exactly the same as my Khaki one.

Anyway, best to ask Mr. Chan, maybe design has changed ... or ask OP, the boss seems to know his stuff and is open if asked nicely of course.

i am emailing billingham with those photos to check why there is such a variation in inserts - and signature tags.

will let you guys know about their reply, so that you will know what to look out for if it is indeed imitation.

I have a 5 years old Khaki Hadley Pro, which I bought from K-13, it is the same as you guys does not have the 3 velcro strips in the insert and don't have the signature label inside the bag either.

signature label is new, it was introduced with the newer 07 series bags.

i didn't know they were going to put it with all the bags though

My 335 have the signature label tag (got it from PK Chan last year).. dun think is limited to 7 series only..

My Packington oso dun have velcro and signature tag! The way I see it is Billingham does not need addition velcro to secure the insert.

What ?! are you sure its fake ? I bought it from a fellow cser and even have the receipt from orient photo (which deals in originals right ?)
From the receipt it stated :billingham hadley pro $425
:Billingham SP40 shoulder pad $85

Don't have receipt for the avea side pouch though but it has the serial code inside so it should be legit...

we only suspect the insert is not real cos none of us here have a 3 stripe velcros like yours. But the bag looks real to me i find.

anyway no issues about the signature tag cos PK Chan told me only newer stocks have this.
