the Billingham Alice L2 can fit a 50d with 10-22mm attached with no problem. So u can get this modle

I managed with squeeze in a e620 with a panasonic 25mm f1.4 on it. Plus the 14-42mm kit lens and a big 50-200 mm SWD into the L2. 3 lens just nice.

i think i have come to the right thread ( or maybe wrong...;p ) as i am about to purchase my first billy... contemplating to get a l2 or the newer f 2.8... no dilemma on the color as i will get the khaki....

have doubt initially among the choices as price only differ by a pinch between style

I managed to "squeeze" my macbook 13" with 500D + 18-200 + another 50mm lens into my 207

My bro just bought a hadley pro black/tan today and we noticed there are quite a few difference between his and mine (im using hadley pro khaki/tan close to a year old).

1:His inserts are thinner (even if due to age shouldn't older be thinner ?), both the dividers and photo insert.

2:Mine has 3 rows of velcro in the insert , his dosen't :dunno: its just the insert but no velcro but the divider can latch on just fine.

3:mine has metal buckles that are smooth and rounded but his has straight egdes around ,like a thinner piece of metal was used.

quite a few more very minor differences.
From our conclusion the older one (mine) has a better build than the new one ...
not sure if billingham did reduce the quality of their material used to manufacture their products :dunno:

both are real and genuine billinghams btw

if i did not rem wrongly... i got 2 big (to act as dividers) and 2 smaller one.

The conventional Hadley inserts as I know it, has the entire inner surface lined with Velcro 'hairs' or 'loops'. Are you trying to say that yours isn't ? That yours instead of fully covered with 'hairs', only has 3 horizontal 'hairy' strips running across the inner of the inserts?

mine is fully covered in the "hairs" but ontop of that has 3 velcro stirps spaced apart

Mine is the same as your brother's inserts without the extra strips. Just curious, does the divider 'sticks' only to the velcro strips? Does it also stick to the non-velcro surface?

Yea it also sticks onto the non-velcro surface

However the build quality of mine seem to be better and slight bigger than my bros one, his is rather soft and easily compressed , but mine is slightly thicker and more rigid, robust , dosent collapse so easily
