i can fit in 5D2 with 24-105 attached and 70-200 f4, and even 50L... 3 lens in the bag, with flash in the front compartment if i want to.

but usually i would just fit in either 24-105 with 50L or 16-35 with 50L, and seldom with the 70-200. carrying more than 2 lens is a pain in a sling bag imo ><

Is L2 possible to fit in 5d2 gripped + 24-105 and 70-200f4 (hood stored in)?

its impossible to fit in a gripped set-up into L2 at all. unless unmounted. no hoods either - the L2 is a very small bag meant for rangefinders.

Thks mate

just got a hadley pro :)
apparently the original has been discontinued and is no longer in production
perfect as a document bag with the insert removed.
got the canvas instead of fibernyte as its softer and should be more forgiving on my clothes lol... my crumpler just shredded my pants and shirts like sandpaper :sweatsm:
gonna get a hadley digital in sage or khaki next

in truth, i don't like one bag that does all - it would be supremely uncomfortable for usage. i would use billingham purely as a camera bag and am more inclined to use non-camera bags as 'lifestyle' bags with padded wraps to put camera/lens in.

but for your purposes, it sounds like the hadley large fits the bill. its pretty big messenger style bag.

update: i bought the 107 last nite after some thought that i usually dislike bigger bags. awesome bag! at initial trial previously, i thought it would be a 2 lens + gripped body + flash bag. but last night i fitted in 24L, 50L (mounted on 5D2 w/grip), 85L, 135L and 16-35L as well as flash in 107.

5 lens, 1 gripped body, 1 flash in a form factor shooter's sac!

WOw would love to see some pic on that,
Remember me, the L2 user, It amaze me how you pack.
You sure know how to pack,
me now using the 207 cos i looking for an upgrade to L2,
you change me totally, the first look of 107, i felt it is just slightly bigger than our L2.
you truly amaze me to the fullest, looking forward to your pics!

the limitation is that only the prime lens can be mounted and stored. if its either my 16-35 or 24-105 or 135 mounted then it reduces the lens capacity by a lot. i find it best to just mount the 50 for storage.

in truth, i will just use it as a 3 lens bag... too much gear, shoulder cannot take it. i feel the L2 limitation is not so much about the storage space per se but comfort of the narrower strap. the wider strap on most of the other series really makes a difference in comfort.

I wanted to get Hadley original also, but no more black..
I bought canvas too, same color as urs..
But realised got e fibernyte version only after buying. :what:
think fibernyte material is softer, but not smoother.. I find mine looking boxy when i sling sideways looks very "extra" :(

BTW, how much u paid for e shoulder pad??

weight can be a consideration and you're talking about 500-600 for the bags.

where to buy in singapore?

pardon me for asking such a dumb question cos i come across 1 thread somewhere that say... billingham bags dont come with the strap to carry? Is it true huh or is it they dont come with the shoulder pad?

no shoulder pad. confirm got should strap.:)

Billingham shoulder straps are not detachable like most bags out there, and there are currently 2 variations of shoulder pads available, one is the neoprene cushioned one, and the other is a newer smoother material.

I have the newer version which I use with my Hadley Pro, it's absolutely lovely and super comfortable, doesn't stick to your clothing like the neoprene versions.

Some of the bigger Billingham bags come with the shoulder pad as well to justify the heavier load.

Answer to ur query.

Thats not true at all. Seen all the bags at Pk Chan's place when i bought my 335 from him.
All come s with straps but fyi Billigham shoulder straps are undetachable (sewed on) from the bag.

Is it true huh or is it they dont come with the shoulder pad?

I belive only bigger bags come with free shoulder pad (my 335 comes with free SP20 shoulder pad), the smaller models, option to purchase separately. :)

so wat happens if i wanna get add a shoulder pad??
Do i have to wait for stitching?? i thought just clip on sia..

guys please do your own research and look at the catalogue pictures of billingham bags...

the straps are sewn on, the shoulder pads are not.

edit: on this page alone, there are 2 images of billingham bags that show the shoulder pad to attached the strap via buttons. how hard is it to look at the images?
