Hi there, sorry for asking do PK Chan have a shop or anything where I can browse the bag? I'm really interested in the Billingham 225 bag shoulder and anyone knows anything about the market price for it now?

he is the distributor in sg... no shop, however, u can view at his place.

his address is few post above...

Hi egnaro, thank for the reply. I guess i will drop him a email before visiting him =)

1 more question is that, is there any website that display all the Billingham Series? I'm surprised to see that some of the model are not available on the official website eh?

u can go to orient photos (sls) or k-13 (peninsular plaza) to see how much they selling. :)

Yours looks too new to be 20 years old.You keep it in the closet all day?:)

Anyways, I prefer the "cloth" one to the fibernyte material...Dun really see any advantages in usage though...Just love the soft feel of cotton canvas

Owning billingham for awhile now, I find the fibernyte softer than the the cotton one (stiffer).

Can anyone kind enuff to pm me the rough price of a hadley pro?
thanks in advance :)

Just got my hadley pro & shoulder pad SP-40 today. So happy.

Thinking of getting Avea 3 / 5. Any recommendation ? (would like to put in compact like Nikon P6000 or Canon G11).

Cheers
Ahandre

Mr. Chan just rang me yesterday to let me know that the 07 series are in stock. He also mentioned a new design, "1.4" and "2.8", which as cheaper that the 07, and also available for viewing.

sorry to inform you guys... 07 series all gone only left 107.

still have 1.4, 2.8 also gone.

Any date when the stock will come back again? :)

eh u have to ask PK when stock coming in haha... anyways, appreciate it if people can share looks of 2.8. that's a new bag and colour is same as the 07 series - khaki with chocolate.

i will snap pics of 1.4 when i visit chan tonight.

wow saw the 107 last night - very beautiful. love the chocolate brown leather, its a new class to itself.

after seeing the fibrenyte i can understand the appeal of canvas and why many still prefer canvas. if i can choose, i probably choose the canvas.

the 1.4 is basically very similar to the hadley except with chocolate brown leather touches. differences include the ability to take on avea pouches (like the hadley pro), the leather securing tabs are now fixed and unremovable and exactly the same as the 07 series. the inside is now fixed and cannot be removed. the front compartment is now one big one instead of 2 separate ones.

apparently the 2.8 (which i didn't see) is the same as 1.4 just smaller. very similar in size to L2/hadley small.

personally i was tempted to grab the 107. very comfortable size - good for gripped 5D2, 2 lenses + flash. i'm gonna wait and take a look at the 207 before deciding.

honestly, it is a sin to choose a black 07 series - the chocolate leather colour is not uniform and has that aged tone to it like on many other luxury goods.

i have 2 gripes on the 07 series which is not major. although it can take delta pockets, i would have preferred the slot system of the avea and wish they made it like the 06 series in this regard.

the other aspect the 2 front pockets lack the button like on the hadley that allows you to open the pockets wider for easier access.

other than that, i think the 07 series is awesome and an 'upgrade' to previous models.

Went over to Orient Photo earlier, the 7 series is in over at their end.. Love their rugged feel and darker canvas color..really tempted.. 207 price tag is about the same as my 335..

Anyway guys,

I'm looking for a Billingham that can fit just one body and lens and a maybe a small netbook and some A4 folders, which I need for work.

I also need as many different pouches as possible.

Which of the Billinghams do you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance. (:

hadley, hadley pro, 1.4 are those that can be used as A4 folios or notebook carriers as well.

without the A4 dimensions requirement, the L2 works quite well for this as well. the front compartment of the L2 is padded so u can put your netbook there.

sorry didn't bother to as it is exactly like a hadley.

caught the 207 as well, i think i prefer the 107 size as the 207 looks more as a carrying storage rather than a 'shooter's sac' for those that understand what i mean by requiring a sleeker profile for quick movement.

the new 2.8 is interesting. its in between the size of the hadley small/L2 and the hadley/hadley pro. a nice 'medium' size.

so expensive! :o

i was told the price was increased just last month so everything is up.

Thanks for the reply.

What is one step up in term of size from the Hadley/ Hadley Pro?

Just worrying that somedays I might need to lug around books/folders slightly bigger than A4. (:

in truth, i don't like one bag that does all - it would be supremely uncomfortable for usage. i would use billingham purely as a camera bag and am more inclined to use non-camera bags as 'lifestyle' bags with padded wraps to put camera/lens in.

but for your purposes, it sounds like the hadley large fits the bill. its pretty big messenger style bag.

update: i bought the 107 last nite after some thought that i usually dislike bigger bags. awesome bag! at initial trial previously, i thought it would be a 2 lens + gripped body + flash bag. but last night i fitted in 24L, 50L (mounted on 5D2 w/grip), 85L, 135L and 16-35L as well as flash in 107.

5 lens, 1 gripped body, 1 flash in a form factor shooter's sac!
