for f-804 it seems like cambags.com has a review - go take a look there.

billingham bags usually only have word reviews - i did an extensive search when deciding whether to buy or not.. and there are very few reviews out there.. but maybe once again, can check out cambags to see if any of those models posted there meets your needs? :dunno:

Thanks. :)
Actually, I did saw physical examples on how much items were stuffed in F-804. I did mentioned in the past posts.

Will do a search in the cambags.

Hi Guys,

Need some advises.

I need to pack these items in a bag

Items
1) 2 bodies (1D MK3 and 5D (without grip))
2) 70 - 200mm f2.8 IS
3) 16 - 35mm f2.8 MK2
4) 24 - 70mm f2.8
5) 15" laptops
6) 3 ThinkTank Cable Management 10, stuff with accessories (Dim: 7.5” L x 2.25” W x 3.75” H)
7) 3 Walkie Talkies

Currently, I had sourced two bags

1st Bag - Domke F-804 Super Satchel
Remarks: I can stuff quite a number of items into this big bag. Most propbably with combined with Think Tank Skin series to create a hybriad combination or can get a 3 partition inserts to put the lens and bodies.

2nd Bag - Billingham (Packington)
Remarks: No knowledge about this bag. Did not have any physical contact about it. But it has the capability to put the above items.

Questions
1) Any personals who had these bags can voice their reviews and comments?

2) For Billingham bags, is there any place to see the qualities? What is the arrangement inside the bag. Did google search for the reviews but, no pictures to show. Where in Singapore I can see the bags physically?

Suggestions are welcome. :)
Thanks!

packington is not big enuff for all ur accessories.

i will recommend billingham's 555 or 550 series. its gonna costs u alot.

in the past it used to ship with the delta pouches.. now i'm not so sure.

Agreed. I realize the packington's dimension is smaller.
I had seen the pictures review on the 445 series in cambags. Not bad, but too ex.

lowepro is much more affordable for a bag that big. so i think it makes more sense if u're gonna get such a big bag, money wise la.

but looks wise... maybe lacking a little la. ;p

considering the fact the total value of your gear is more than 20k, whats 700 for a bag? :dunno:

I am looking for flexibility....:)

I can use the bag for other purpose beside putting the equipments.

Will like to ask the bros here which model from Billingham will fit a D300 w/o grip, a 20/2.8, 50/1.4, 85/1.4, an SB-800, Epson P-5000 and some other miscellaneous items? How much will the model cost here in Singapore?

335 will be enough since u do not have any big zoom lens such as the 70-200.

costs around S$450+ from the RIGHT retailers.

external dimensions:
Width 13 3/4"
Depth 4 3/4"
Height 9 3/4"

internal
Width 12 1/2"
Depth 2 3/4"
Height 8 3/4"

13" maybe cos can stretch a little.

14.. i think might be a tight fit. probably not advisable. maybe get a bigger big, the billingham range is wideeeee

Thanks, night86mare!

Ya, I used to have the L2 Alice. Sold it cos' my usual bag's domke f-3x which is very compact yet can take a huge amount of load.

Here's my very short review of the L2 Alice for ppl who loves an small exquisite bag from Billingham.
L2 Alice Review

I needed 1 bag which I could bring to office, with my primes (35mm & 70mm pancakes) /1 or 2 SLRs (K200D+K20D) with my 14" laptop. I thought the Packington may just work, but wasted no black on chrome. Haiz. Anyone knows if my bold/underline statement is false, please let me know. And of course, if this bag's not advisable for such a setup, let me know?

Yes, 335's internal height is only 8.5" compare to 445's 10.75". If there is a chance to add a 70-200 later, it might be better to go for a 445. It has enough head room to take the f2.8 IS mounted on the body.

I bought a 445 last month from HK Tin Cheung at HK$2,480 (~S$440). This is kind of Singapore price of a 335.

wa, break heart. :bheart:

but tas the price i paid for my 335 many years ago. and i considered it much more affordable than purchasing from K13 who quoted me S$600+! :bsmilie:

Thanks guys for the recommendations :) However, I am wondering if the Hadley Small or Original will be suitable as well? I am not able to judge the capacity as there aren't any other pictures on the official website.

I must say I am quite attracted to the Hadley series as the bags looked really good. There is even a Nikon bag with an identical design to the Pro/Original.
