went to visit pk chan today just to check things out after he adviced a hadley large for my purposes.

really a very nice guy and tested out various bags. unfortunately 07 series not available in SG until later part of the year.

hadley large was a great fit for all my equipment + laptop but not looking for such a large bag. looking for something a lot more portable.

decided on hadley pro but unfortunately he didn't have stock. hadley original is a great fit and i understand its the same size. having the handle, the back slot and extra avea 3 made sense and worth the extra dollars.

hopefully won't have to wait that long for the stock to come in, likely next week to come in.

upon seeing and feeling the quality of billingham, there wasn't that much to consider

perhaps not the most appropriate place to post this, but i also have listed a wtb... feel free to pm me if you have a hadley original or pro for sale in khaki, thx.

The new SP40 is really a huge improvement from the previous one (SP15). If you are getting the Hadley range, I recommend buying this accessory. Why?
1. Ergonomics - slightly tapered towards the end which won't rub against your shoulder blade.
2. Cushioning - Need not say more ... there's no cushioning to speak of in SP15.
3. Non-slip - Subjective. While the SP15 material actually prevents slipping better, it sticks to your clothes literally and it feels like stretching your shirt, t-shirt all over. The new one doesn't have such a grippy surface, but just enough to prevent the slip.

If you are getting the billingham, get the SP40 or SP50. It's worth every cent!

ho hum... im waiting for the hadley original khaki to have stock.

IHMO the black Billinghams are much better and are more beautiful than the Khakis. The brass studdings on the Khakis get tarnished quickly while the black ones with the nickel studs do not.I own a black 306 and have compared against my friend's Khaki 335 which is a year younger than mine but his looks way more beat up than mine since all of his bag's studs are tarnished.(I use my bag much more than he does since I use this on a daily basis while he rarely uses it since he bought his Fogg.

anyone know any shop selling billingham 555?

the idea of getting a khaki is to get the weathered look. the tarnished brass studs appeal to me.

to me, buying black is boring and doesn't yield the classic billingham look. it feels like any black lowepro, tamrac, domke, etc.

anyway, different strokes for different folks. i just appreciate the signature billingham look.

anyway, i jumped on to a hadley pro... decided that a handle can be more useful. love it, able to fit in 5D2, 70-200L, 24-105L, 50L all at once. able to fit in macbook when body separated with 2 lens set up too.

intend to get a hadley small next time for casual use as well, mainly to use with body+1 lens. or perhaps the L2.

Hello gazkw,

Wonder how you manage to fit in so much into the pro. I too have a pro, but my D3 would not fit in with the 17 ~ 35 lens attach. Hope you can share insight to your packing. Thanks.

I don't use a grip and that's where the difference probably lies.

i use a long partition to hold off the 70-200L, and then a smaller partition at the other side for the 50mm, with the 24-105L with body attached in the centre. that combination ofc has no macbook.

if i were to put in a macbook, body must be separated and carry only 2 lens instead of 3. i can probably squeeze in all 3, but the tight fit and weight is not practical.

a question to ask...does I need to mail the guarantee card to UK? coz i jus gt mine PressTop 206 from HK...

anyone got the contact for PK Chan? Can pm me? guess i am hooked on billingham bags as well :bsmilie: intend to get hadley original. :)

anyone tried ordering from europe?

i understand that the 07 series is not available in most regions outside of the EU.

thinking of getting one but perhaps i should wait until i go switzerland next year.

u shd find all ways to get one now and use it for your switzerland trip!

I just clicked on the link and realized Billingham has new version shoulder pads. This was one feature that could have been improved, and they did it. Can't beat an Optech SOS ("Saves On Shoulders") strap in weight reduction feeling, of course, but should be better than the previous model. Will call PK Chan :-)

Eh... I posted that it's good ... just a short write up a week ago on this same page. It's much better than the previous 1.

Oh, I didn't memorize the model no. of the pads, so I thought you were referring to another bag model (first sentence) so I didn't read the whole post. Now, I know, thanks !

just got a billingham hadley pro from pkchan on saturday..

Nice bag! Though a bit squeezy for camera gears.. Think i will use it more often as casual bag.. :bsmilie: It even comes with a dustbag.. machiam like our ladies' burberry bags etc..:bsmilie:

Bought the Sp40 too.. yeah the padding feels good, and the cloth strap looks better with the sp40 too..

Oh..and did anyone notice.. inside bag..theres a square patch with Martin billingham's signature sewn on it.. with the bag's own serial number and a 2d barcode? i think its quite cool.. :bsmilie:

Love the bag!

yes, i found the 2D barcode interesting...

indeed very pleased with the hadley pro. i use it as a daily go-to-work bag. sometimes put papers, sometimes papers with camera, sometimes with macbook.

very versatile
