agree... forgive and forget ler ! ;p

I've made my apologies to posn75 earlier this morning and explained the circumstances to him.

For the record, it was really an unforeseen circumstance that I had to sell to some-one else as that person has already bid on my auction. I did not back out of the deal last minute, I did not MIA, I didn't cheat him of his $$$, I did not sell him any defective item etc... Also, I actually sold my 300D to the buyer at the same price as what I would have sold him.

I dun understand why he is taking it so hard and having to resort to send me abusive sms, itrader bad notification, nasty remark on my thread and posting this "beware" thread.

I guess all of us will have to watch our back carefully, and be really really sure before promising to sell to anyone... and that includes me. I dun disagree that I made a mistake, but I did apologise to posn75 and gave him sufficient time (abt 9am in the morning, my sms to him was sent, the meeting time was supposed to be this evening ard 6 plus).

my two cents worth: integrity. please keep your promise. sometimes its just luck and timing. I confirm my bid for a flash at a higher price but can only collect it at a later date. anyway, saw there's the same flash going for cheaper price these few days. wish i had waited, but anyway, its my luck lo. i couldn't just pull out right? just wanted to keep my promise. at least i feel better :) keke

The seller, seem like at fault. Why? He placed 2 different ads at 2 different place. In the end, sure got problem. If he didn't sell to the one on Yahoo, the Yahoo one complain abt him. So, to those who want to sell off your stuffs, keep to one location else ur trouble never ends. ;p (Just like keeping 2 woman under a roof, safe? ;p)

I do agree that I am at fault in the first place, but I just dun understand the need for posn75 to resort to such nasty acts to get back at me.

You are really incorrigible, if you call that an abusive sms & nasty acts, den you obviously underestimated me. I only resorted to this because i wanted to warn ppl about you before they deal with you. I am just stupid enough to have trusted you in the first place despite your negative ratings. ( both CS & Yahoo )

the TS can approach the admins to get his negative 1 rating in B/S adjusted back to zero.

i think he's not at fault jus unfortunate to haf met with such a deal.
happens all the time. u'll get used to it.

there was one prominent CSer who agreed to sell me his 12-24 at stated price too but back out and said he's keeping it.
only to sell it to someone else for a higher price.

tat's the way it is.:bsmilie:

This seems like a common problem with purchases made online..

Maybe can organise CS flea/aution market..arrange for a date/time/venue..once a month event..stuff for aution will be listed on the forum..then interested parties can all go down for viewing & bidding..highest bid takes it..and on cash and carry basis..makes everybody happy..:)

Previously I posted on both Yahoo & Hardwarezone to sell some stuff (non-photography related).

From Hardwarezone, the person confirmed at the price I wanted and we agreeded to deal.
At the same time, someone bidded for my item on Yahoo, but it was not Buy Now price nor was the auction over.
So immediately after I get confirmation from the buyer at Hardwarezone, I contacted the person at Yahoo to inform the item has been sold. He understood and I closed the Yahoo auction.

So... 2 happy people and a disappointed person, no one is angry at each other :D

To expose him the very 1st time is really alittle overboard.

HOWEVER, where the integrity of the seller is concerned, some will honour their words, some simply see whose money is bigger and juz simply pop it to the one offering a higher selling price. In short, what the threadstarter, I believe, is truly pissed about, is the integrity of the seller who promised him at the selling price and later changed his side of the story by putting, "...I'm in need of the cash and had to sell it asap."

Ah, yes. The "S 11" thing which causes one to turn a deal around just like that.

Shit happens my friend. U can appeal to the admins/mods in Buy-Sell to reinstate ur status. But honestly speaking, things like these, the writing's on the wall. People got eyes to see and judge. Who's right, who's wrong.... Well, its pretty obvious to all. :)

Why did you leave him feedback in itrader? Feedback is supposed to be exchanged between buyers and sellers, and not between potential buyers and potential buyers. This is one drawback of the system.

i do not think the flak on the seller is fair. How would he know that posn75, a total stranger to him, would be good for his word? There is also a possibility that posn75 would inspect and reject the goods. It makes more sense to me that the seller should secure the transaction at the earliest opportunity.

It's tough, or at least tiring, to sell things on the forum here. i've experienced running around Singapore for people who only want to check out the item. There are those who bid and backout last minute. There are buyers who bid on multiple items and 'reserve' a few, only to get the best deal and back out on the rest. Blah blah blah. The buyers definitely have an advantage here.

i think posn75 should just write off the incident as a misunderstanding and move on. Singapore, and indeed Clubsnap, is a small place, and one day, you might be shooting together. Better one more friend than enemy. There are more worthy causes to fight over.

To further enhance B&S, I guess the best way would be an 'expiry date' option.

First of all, if a short expiry date is being set, it would not tie up the seller to put his stuff up on sale on other sites and end up busting his own integrity of promising sale to 1 side and caving into one with bigger bucks.

Next, the expiry date option which is mandatory, will auto lock threads which had expired so that ppl would not go into an expired WTS/WTB thread which the buyer/seller had already concluded the deal.

I urge mods and admins to consider this option for it would not only clean up B&S (with some expired WTS/WTB still floating around) but also will prevent horror stories of this kind from recurring.

Of cos, seller must also do their part by honouring their own part of the deal.

Well, I had encountered ppl with post count 1 selling stuff to them and had no problems of any kind simply becos of 2 things:
- They placed their faith on me
- I have my own integrity to uphold, so I wun try to burn my candles on both ends and burn it one at a time. Very dumb I know, but at least it will generate less misunderstanding and burning candles on both ends will lead to urself being burnt ultimately.

Buyer expressed his interest, as a seller (having been 1 myself), I take pride and every step to ensure that deals go thru smoothly with zero problems. Of cos, some buyers had been pressing, but it all ends up a win-win situation.

Its all abt having faith and not losing it.

I think this thread is just an outlet for posn75 to vent his frustrations at me. I've already made my sincere apologies and he doesn't think that this is sufficient. I really dun noe what to do/say.

I've been taking the abuses/nasty remarks like a gentleman and never once did I respond in the manner that posn75/others have done, simply because I know that I have to bear the blame.

Guys, today is Friday and weekend is round the corner. Let's put all these behind - as they say C'est La Vie!

for everyone's info, i did msg him on the morning to tell him that i have ready cash to buy his cam, even before seeing it, so please dun say i won't honour buyin it unless of course the item is short of what he describe it to be.

Frankly, i just wanted to inform ppl of this guy so that if you were to deal with him, just take note of this incident.

Anyway, i will just let it rest, in fact i have already asked the mods to lock up this thread as i can't seem to find the lock function. Pardon me.

我同意!他为什么没买/卖东西而又留下回音哪?莫名其妙!可能是个出气筒吧?

Closing thread as requested by TS.

Let's lay this matter to rest and move on.

Thanks!
