personally, i avoid mixing different brand charger with different brand battery for safety reasons. =)

Agreed with xunjas. Don't anyhow mix batts with different chargers. Always use the ones provided to be safe.

I don't agree though.

I wonder if you guys have any digital cameras using AA, and do bundle with an AA charger. I do have a Nikon in office, and has a Nikon MH-71 charger. So how, only use Nikon AA rechargeables?

Anyway, I've been charging Sanyo & Eneloop, GP, Sony & Casio with my MAHA C401FS.

What you shouldn't mix is, charging different brands of batteries concurrently, or different capacities even with the same brand.

Yup, as long the charger can charge NiMH, it shd work with different brands. Currently using a Daiyo charger that has individual charging circuits and LCD display for each battery and been charging, sanyo batteries, GP reckyo, etc with it.

Im on 8 maha2700... but Im charging them on my old GP Powerbank that I got with my GP2300. I suppose all these while those 2700 NEVER was charged all the way to their rated 2700....

After a year, I think those 8 batts are dying on me :( :( Could not really hold charge anymore... (or is it my SB800) :o :o

Guess I should be getting the package deal in the first place, ie the maha2700 with it's corresponding rated charged!

I too have the Maha C401FS for donkey years (bought it back when East Gear doesn't even have a shop front I believe and was delivered to me at Bishan MRT) and I charge all my NiMH with it regardless of brands (including Eneloops and Recyclos). The C401FS has 4 individual charging circuits so it's ok if you charge different capacities with it. I do it all the time simply because I have gadgets that uses 1 and 3 AAs and AAAs .....

Honestly, I feel having good batteries is only 1 part of the equation. You must pair it with a good charger. The other charger I use extensively is the LaCross 9000. Both are excellent chargers IMO. I tried a bundled Sanyo charger with their 2500s but honestly I think it sucked as I feel it never is able to fully charge my batteries. I threw away all the 'dumb' GP chargers.

Now, I used the Eneloops exclusively for my 420EX. Previously, I posted a very un-scientific comparo of the Eneloops vs 2500s here

Agree that the MAHA 401FS is a good charger but if money is not a problem go with the MAHA Powerex MH-C9000 WizardOne Charger/Analyser.
