Hi Snoweagle

Do you mean 4 AA Eneloop can last 900 shots or with battery pack???

For 900 shots, that is really impressive....

Just 4 fully charged Eneloops without battery pack.

I was at the Super Import Nights last friday when i started shooting from 12:45pm, some with bursts. By the time it died as it failed to recharge, my shots clocked at around 983 and that was around 5pm+. So the rest was covered by my GPs, total clocked 1200+ shots in that day alone.

By the way, the flash was in ETTL mode all the time and was using my WhaleTail all the time too, no direct flash.

It is pretty impressive!!!!

My last event was a bit embarrassing for me :embrass:, as I bought alkaline, and that pack was all pretty weak, and I used 12 batts in less than 3 hrs....... and all in all, less that 600 shots.....

If the eneloop can last 900, I think I will get 8 of them instead... and skip the external batt pack instead.....

For me it depends on which event, for me this feat was done last friday at the Super Import Nights.

it must a fun time for you shooting there. =D A very big flash zone over there =)

Hi all,

so it's recommended for us to use rechargables for flash?

looking for some batt for my 430EX...

which brand is good?

If you read through the thread, you'd realise that your question was already answered.

I'm going to summarise it into a short phrase.

Sanyo Eneloops or Maha Powerex.

Next time please just read through. The info is already there for the taking.

The eneloops are really fantastic for a rated 2000mAh. Batt packs are more critical if u're paid for shooting events.

Yeah...and many overexposed shots due to too many flashes at the same time.

Can Maha Powerex and Sanyo Eneloops use the same charger? I have some Powerex and a Powerex charger and I would like to try out Eneloop. Thanks.

for safety precaution, it is better not to mix.. =)

Then the models faces become as white as a ghost. But some of these overexposed shots accidentally gave a nice effect.

gain some lose some.. a whole new experience is gd. =)

I agree... that is why I will put it off until I am getting paid for event and the faster recycling rate will be crucial..... hoping to make that transition soon..... ;)

For me a battery pack is never unless i'm doing events as a full-time job. If i were to get it, it won't be the Canon CP-E3 but the Quantum 2X2 Turbo!
