Do update here about the status for the extra battery.

Previously it was stated in their newspaper ad so can claim, now it's nowhere to be seen, their ad now did not state the 2nd battery, only the $99 flash. Unless it's some hidden promo.

I don't understand the part 'don't register first, warranty will be longer'. Olympus is giving out 3 extra months for registering online and they need receipt if claim battery. Date is obviously starting from date of purchase.

i am eclub member and recently got 2nd hand ep1 from fellow cser,realize he din claim extra batt.he bought last yr july when first launched.i tried call oly ctr and told them i din know can claim extra batt, they were nice enough to give me one!maybe i was just plain lucky.hope this helps.

There's a difference between buying DURING the promo period and AFTER that. Unless as I stated, it's a hidden promo (or package).

No it doesn't help as we are discussing free batt after promo ends (Dec 09) which J3:16 has offered in their dealing with rwhite

If this is true then J3:16 has the best price in town at the moment
